RTV 31 – HOVERTRAIN RESTORATION
This 1960’s relic of man’s attempt at High-Speed Guided Land Transport, was saved by ex-employees
of Tracked Hovercraft Limited (THL) and Volunteers back in 1993 when the decision was taken to scrap the RTV hulk that had been languishing at the Cranfield Institute since the project was abandoned1973! Volunteers have amassed an archive of THL Material and are looking to present this and get a structural survey to see if cosmetic restoration is possible!
